Gear Donation

Access to functional outdoor gear is critical to GPI’s success, but as equipment is often expensive and retailers tend to be concentrated in urban centers, this can be a barrier for kids in rural areas such as Darrington. As a policy, GPI loans out gear to all our participants so that every kid is able to get outside effectively and comfortably; our ability to do so is reliant on the generosity of companies, organizations, and individuals (like you!) that donate used equipment for our use.

We are soliciting donations from the greater western Washington outdoor community to support our work. Currently we especially need warm, waterproof boots and rain gear for kids ages 5-14, but any gear in usable condition (even if it's in need of a few repairs) is helpful to us. All donations are tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization. If you have any extra equipment lying around that is no longer in use, please consider passing it on so that kids in our town can get outdoors, learn in nature, and take advantage of the beautiful places that surround them!
