The following are a combination of national and local resources to aid those undergoing mental health difficulties. If you or a loved one is experiencing a crisis, please call 988 or 1-800-273-8255.

Mental Crisis Hotlines

  • A small percentage (2%) of Lifeline calls require activation of the 911 system when there is imminent risk to someone’s life that cannot be reduced during the Lifeline call. In these cases, the crisis counselor shares information with 911 that is crucial to saving the caller’s life.

North Counties’ Family Services

NCFS navigates mental health services and connects families and individuals with local resources.  NCFS also provides families and individuals with programs based on the participant’s needs such as parenting classes, youth programs, inclusion/transition services, preschool and early childhood assessments.  NCFS also assists with transportation such as gas vouchers, bus passes, or direct transportation based on need.   

NCFS will work with participants to provide mental health resources.  To speak with an NCFS staff member, appointments are preferred but walk-ins are available on a limited basis.  


Snohomish County Behavioral Health Services-Crisis Responders

Services offered include crisis response, alcohol & drugs and community mental health. The County’s Crisis Responders can be reached 24/7 at (425) 388-7215 or toll-free (800) 584-3578.

Snohomish County has a Children’s Mental Health Liaison to assist the community’s families, school and social service providers in accessing mental health services and navigating resources for children and adolescents. Stilly Valley Health Connections

Counseling Services are available for adults and families within the boundaries of the Darrington School District. You do not need to have children or students enrolled to get counseling. Stilly Valley Health Connections has Mental health counselors available to meet on-line using tele-health and provide assistance during this difficult time. If you are interested in receiving this support, please contact a provider listed below.

When the adults and students seek counseling through these counselors, there is no cost for the counseling.**

**This service is dependent on pandemic relief funds and may not always be available.

The ACRC is a one-stop hub of services for people in need. From help with basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter, to assistance with other kinds of resources and programs, they make sure our neighbors are supported and cared for in their journeys toward stability.

They assist clients navigating insurance options and applications and connect clients to the mental health services that best fit their needs. ACRC can see clients over the phone or in person by appointment during COVID.


Darrington School District

Through the school district there is help in the elementary school, and high school. There are counselors that come in 2-3 times a week to provide services.
